Welcome to Djarragun College

Djarragun College shares the Cape York Partnership vision for children to achieve their full potential, talent and creativity and have the confidence and capacity for hard work so they can orbit between two worlds and enjoy the best of both.

We aim to develop a holistic knowledge about each of our student’s academic ability and physical health and wellbeing to be able to fully support each of them onto a successful future life pathway.

We recognise the traditional owners of Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands and pay our respects to our elders, past and present.

Our Mission

To develop proud, strong, educated Indigenous men and women, who walk confidently in two worlds, to be leaders, and to be role models for their families and communities.

Our Vision

To be the school of choice for students, parents and communities in Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands.

🌟 Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Ms. Ish from C&K Balaclava Community Kindergarten, who led an insightful session for our Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care students. 🎓 Ms. Ish delved into the vital concepts of planning, preparing, and engaging in learning experiences with younger children, emphasising the significance of supporting self-regulation and self-care. 💡 Our students gained invaluable knowledge and skills that will undoubtedly shape their future endeavours in early childhood education. A huge thank you to Ms. Ish for her invaluable contribution! 👏 #EarlyChildhoodEducation #LearningExperience #CommunityCollaboration ... See MoreSee Less
